Glaciology • Natural Hazards • Geoscience • Remote Sensing

I am a Research Scientist at the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado. My research focuses on geophysical surface deformation. I use a suite of satellite and terrestrial remote sensing platforms to study earth’s surface to gain a better understanding of the underlying geophysical processes that drive these changes. My recent projects include the impact of a granular proglacial ice mélange on tidewater glacier calving, the influence of perennial firn aquifers on tidewater glacier dynamics, and the relationship between cascading natural hazards (drought, wildfire, precipitation events, landslides) and climate change.
